Yes, that satin stock & fore end are really nice. Looks like a wonderful oil finish, almost like Tru-Oil.
I'll see about a pic from the other side of the wood. It's walnut for sure from the aroma. Deep and rich. I used to work part time at Chicago Cutlery where all the handles were nice walnut. Never forget that smell.
I bet the person who never picked it up is regretting it.

Going in the classifieds soon.
Would rather see a member here get it instead of someone just looking for a .22 shooter here in Charlotte deciding between this and a Ruger take down 22 or one of those Henry AR7's for a truck gun.

Well, I checked with Cabela's, and they have them in stock. The problem is Cabela's won't ship them to one's home; they have to be picked up at a C.'s store. The closest one to me is Lexington, KY, which is around 3 hrs. one way.

I did find one at the Bass Pro Shop here in East TN. I may end up buying it. There's also one at Guns America with a price a bit lower that others I've seen.

I want a new one. No rational reason, just don't won't one with a history. I also want the gloss stock because Uncle Harley's had that stock.

I'm going to talk with my LGS guy tomorrow and see if he can get me one and then go from there.

Thanks to all you guys who have responded . A great bunch of folks here on RFC!!

Dave

Well, good news for me! Today I found one at a gun store only about 45 miles away. Going to get it tomorrow.

Actually they won't. I tried to buy a special edition Savage they had but they would not send to a Bass Pro shop in Miami. Cabela's doesn't have a store in Florida.

Picked it up yesterday. This shop had three of them in stock, two new ones and a very nice used one with a scope mounted. Any of you guys ever in the Knoxville area stop and check out SAI Firearms. Very friendly and a great inventory of guns and accessories-

Me happy Browning .22 semi-auto rifle owner now!!

Mine never made it to the FS classifieds section.
A very lucky member got it and I won't be surprised if his FFL wants to claim it with that stock.
Just something about that satin oil finish. Don't know if we want to spend the $188 for the butt stock and $88 for the fore end for our BL-22 in the satin.
The buyer will have to post pics. Better ones than mine were.

Thinking seriously about trading my Browning SA-22 .22LR for an equally nice SA-22 .22Short. My rifle was obtained brand new in Sept 2017. Shot all of one box of 50 through it. Functions flawlessly.

Keep the .22 Long Rifle and buy the .22 Short.

Keep the .22 Long Rifle Browning. Buy a Browning in .22 Short.

CDNN no longer has any SA-22's. It would appear that source has dried up. I have another rifle in .22LR. But would really like an SA-22 in "SHORTS".
