Well done Jack, with that squirrel stock.

I like the looks of it.

Have you had it out hunting squirrels?

Yes. It goes up back with me occasionally as does the Win.9422.

greetings

here is my class 1 iron sight entry
Iver Johnson .22 LR M1 carbine copy
factory sights
R-P Thunderbolt ammo
(surprised me too, but it shoots well in this rifle)
I think I scored a 165, but am not sure - corrections welcome

yet another chance to get a safe queen out for some exercise......

Merle, that M1 carbine is working pretty good, I think...

It's nice to see some semi's for a change . BTW, good scoring on the target.

Does yours have a hard trigger? My Mossberg does (I keep wondering if the safety is on).

thank you. I bought it about thirty years ago, when I was teaching my kids how to shoot the NRA junior high power match - it was a good trainer for a real M1 carbine.

what amuses me the most is that it really likes Thunderbolt ammo - go figure! think I'll try some new ammo, that didn't exist when I bought this, and see what happens.

the trigger is pretty decent, and the sights still work pretty good for my tired old eyes.

I hadn't shot in in years, then remembered it hiding in the back of the safe, so.... now I'm glad I brought it out. I believe it will be my most favored 25 yd iron sight gun.

Nice target Stan! Those little boogers are hard too see with Iron Sights. A real test that one.

Nice target again to you Merle. I like those 22 carbine clones. I always keep my eyes open at the local show but the owners seem very proud of them. Someday. Marlin made the M1 and M2 clones. One tube fed and one mag fed. I have seen both but overpriced.
