I should have taken a "before" pic. This is what I *think* to be a late 1930s-early 1940s J Stevens Arms Co "Springfield No. 94B" 16 gauge. This is it "after" some wood restoration and cold blue of bbl. Not perfect...but fun.

I do the same this with Stevens/Savage SXS's. The Browneslls Oxpho-Blue works for me on the cold blue. I love me some working man's SXS's.

Nice job.

I'm a big fan of single barrel and double barrel shotguns.

Pumps and autos don't do anything for me.

USCGret, we should talk via pm!!! I recently acquired a bunch of 16 gauge ammo, and I don't have a 16 gauge shotgun. And you are in Virginia. Send me a pm if you are interested.
God Bless, Frank.

Lol. Well I sure canít tell from the photo. Looks absolutely gorgeous! I used to love rescuing pawn shop guns before our WA state I-1639 went into effect. I had a small collection of Marlin pumps at one time.

Here is a Spencer model of 1882 that I stumbled on for $150 back about ten years ago. The stock wrist is actually shattered, so Iíll never shoot it, but I certainly couldnít bring myself to sell it.

Great find NWFRS! That's the lure that keeps bringing us out to the pawn shops!

In all my years of gun buying, I've never bought a gun at a pawn shop. I look but I never find anything that I want.

I do more lookin' than buyin' Roger. But...one never knows what may have just been brought in. Prices are all over the place...some bargains, and also some really inflated prices. Lot of fun.
