She likes the the little Monsters coming to the door..And it is alot of fun with the Grandones too...She has alot of decorations..I myself am glad when it is over and all that scary stuff gets re-banished to the basement..

brussel sprouts work well if you rewrap them in ferro roches wrappers.

Truth is, I'm too lazy to caramel dip onions or brussels sprouts Frank. I just save up my condiment packages. Usually I tell them, "Take two, they're small!"

Youse guys are too funny.

Usually don't get anybody at the door, so don't participate anymore.
This year, though, we're having a Halloween themed wedding reception for myself and the new wife. We'll be providing the main course, and the invites ask guests to bring one side dish, their own beverage, (of their choice), NO gifts, and costumes are encouraged.

Man, we both live in the Mexican cuisine capitals of the world. I ain't eating no gringo faux tacos

Joking aside we do buy suitable treats and leave the lights on. Usually get some cute little ones all dressed up. My wife likes it so I pretend to like it too. Come 9 PM though it's lights out!

Frank

Craig...
Same here for Roger's reason. Street gets a bit busy and folks don't bring the rugrats here no mo. I did set a pumpkin on the porch and hid a KitKat from the chocoholic spousal unit.

I like the kids smiles and comments on what they got and already bargaining for a trade before they get off the front porch. We don’t get as many kids as we use to as many of the churches in the area are participating in the trunk or treat in the parking lot. We always keep the porch’s light on till 8 o’clock.

One sorta annoying thing is Holloween night..Every time the doorbell rings, the Dogs start to bark..But we can avoid some of that during the rush hours by just leaving the front door open and be ready before they ring..

The Dogs are usually the most scary thing they encounter at the door..

Back in the day at our old 2 story barn design house we put on the dog at Halloween and scared the bejesus out of the kiddies, cars lined the block dropping of kids. There are hardly any small kids left around here now so we just keep the lights off and eat a piece of candy or two ourselves.

It snows up here a lot on Halloween. Lot of times a group of parents drive their fat little kids to the houses. Our cul d sac doesn't get any traffic, but we get a kick out of the horrible reality of the fat little kids waddling around underneath bedsheets. Then we have a somber moment when we realize how screwed we are as society that we have a holiday to celebrate darkness where we give out junk food to kids who are almost 50% obese.....
