In...

Some months ago I got a new camera, Nikon P1000. Coming to terms with it

Had it out yesterday and finished the shoot with the 1,000th picture ever.

Mrs. Cow thinks I should buy a lottery ticket...

Nice pic Cow!

"Dear autocorrect.....I never mean "duck"!

A true day of rest on this Sunday!

I slept in which was nice! I was just about to post the new TWH opening at 9:30 am when a transformer blew up just down the road. Kudos to the power company for getting things back up and running within 30 minutes!

I will be heading over to a friend's house shortly to eat and watch football. There will be about 8 of us there. I am looking forward to a fun and relaxing day!

Hope you all have an enjoyable day as well!

Good Morning, RFC friends. Today is the 41st anniversary of my 40th birthday. Feeling good, beautiful day outside, going for a ride out in the country and look at the leaves.

Thanks, folks! Sun & wind wore me out, time the day was done yesterday.

New 'norm' for 87 grade corn swill is $2.959/gal.

After unpacking from shoot & bottle shop, went to Kroger's to pick up some RX's. The place was crowded, veggies well picked over w/some sold out, scary meat prices(!), but bought a coupla items anyway; found a deal on salted butter @ $2/#, so bought four. Bacon prices are up. Spotty places of stuff sold out or temp unavailable, but got whot we needed. Czechin' out was a real PITA w/only one register being manned! They had toilet paper, but you could clearly tell it was popular. End of grocery shopping report.

76 at the moment w/RH up to 77%, wind S 15 G 25. Weasels are saying high probability of severe storms tonight. Present heat combined with anything cold that might wander in can oft trigger nasty, so they could be correct. I'm thinking it will be worse to the W of the DFW Metroplex if its happens, but I could be wrong. We could see about " of wet tonight. It wouldn't hurt any, if we do.

Coffee is really good this morning. Bride has had me moving several hunnert pounds, mighta been a ton or more, of her outdoor 'stuff' [we B talking rocks, stones, cut and not and a coupla concrete urns] this morning as her 'just so' gets satiated temporarily, once more. Fair enough trade, I guess; I has a stout dolly and I got to play all day yesterday and she fixed an exquisite linguine al dent w/a sauce that was an Alfredo with roasted chicken breast chunks and fresh porta bella 'shrooms that she'd sauteed in fresh garlic, olive oil, butter w/a splork of Madera added toit for dinner last. It was delicious. Whatever the caloric load, it has been werked off this morning.

I may require an Epsom salts soak later.
