Warranty cards

About five years ago I bought an S&W 15-22 and I just recently came across the warranty card. I tell my customers that the primary reason that the manufacturers want you to send in the card is so they have your name on a mailing list so I never send them in. However, I took a belated look at this one.

One so called benefit of sending the card in is that S&W will retain your purchase information for UP TO five years. Up to are the words that caught my eye.

So they could discard the info after a week and be good to go. That's really handy for products that can have a 100 year life.

I think Kipwell's job is more important than a warranty card!

That was the good old days. Today, I keep everything in the box. That has been a hard learned lesson and as such will not be forgotten.
