Mpolk i think you will enjoy the greenlaw.
There is a set screw to lock the Randolph top from swiveling should you want to.

Adjustable windage gets my vote . The rest should be set up to fit you and the bench and the gun. The windage used to dial it in to the target just like the adjutabl height is.

Both these Greenlaw tops have adj. windage, the one also has adjustable gun pads so you dont have to have a selection of bags to pick and mount up.

I also picked up and older aluminum Bald Eagle Slingshot rest from a friend . It has a speed screw on the rear leg. The rest was pretty dirty and gritty but cleaned up and works well. I mounted one of my Protektor bags on it.

I used a much less sophisticated base I had but certainly would have used a B.E. base if I'd had one.
Tune up the elev screw and lock, etc, mount up the Top and enjoy

The top will be here today. It will not fit the old Bald Eagle without being modified (BE uses 3/8 bolt instead of 1/4). I'll be putting it on the Rock BR base. That will leave my aluminum Bald Eagle Slingshot as a great backup.

I am ordering the adjustable bag/windage Greenlaw top to mate to a rock br. I am very interested in how it works out for you. Please update once you get it together if you have time.

Got this 12 year old base all cleaned up and operating extremely smooth. Cleaned all the small parts in the ultrasonic cleaner, using Simple Green and water. Got all the leg screws cleaned up and everything lubed with white lithium grease. Should be all ready for the new top this afternoon.

I really do like the Greenlaw top. Make sure you find the countersunk metric center screw. I missed it until I had it all put back together and had to disassemble it and put in the correct one. Adjusted it to fit my MTR stock and I think I'm ready. Would have been nice if it was keyed to the Rock BR center post, but then it would not fit others. Very happy with it. Great craftsmanship. Fit and finish is outstanding. Smooth as silk. He does splendid work. I will highly recommend his stuff.

Mike

Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I just put in my order so it will be a bit of a wait. Hopefully I'll have before November ARA match. I need all the help I can get.

I was sitting thinking about the top I took off. I decided to put it on my Rock Deluxe rest just for sighting in and stuff. Nice little upgrade, LOL.

Mpolk, it seems like my MTR likes to be held down tight. I've tried several different holds and I always find myself back to holding her nice and tight for the best groups. How about yours? It looks like the new Greenlaw can put the squeeze on!
