Can someone give me an idea of what targets these are, or the width of the scoring rings?

In the alternative, can someone tell me what the following target might be: paper is about 21" by 21". The bull (in red) is 1 7/8" across, black 10-ring is 3 5/8" across, and the black 9-ring is 5 1/2" across. All other rings are the buff color of the paper, with the 8-ring measuring 7 7/8" across. There are rings for 7, 6 and 5 points. The only markings on the target are in the upper right corner, with blanks for a) something illegible, b) target number, and c) stage number.

I ask because I challenged my 62-year-old eyes (and my iron-sighted AR) the other day with an offhand string of 25 rounds at 50 yards. I shot a 229 - 6x, which I was okay with after a 50-year layoff, but I'm beginning to think that target was enormous compared to those in this thread, and my score is half of the ones I see posted here.

Can someone clue me in on either target (and if you wish, comment on my score)?

Edit: After a closer read on page 412, I realize some of these scores are with scoped rifles, and are 50 shot strings. I seem to recall a couple of threads with 25 shot offhand strings at 25 yards, and 50 shots at 50 yards, but I can't find them. If someone would direct me to a more appropriate thread, I will delete this post and repost elsewhere. I apologize for the thread drift.

LTTG it sounds like you are using some version of the SR1 High Power Rifle target.

The 10 ring on the A23 target is 0.87 inch and the black dot is 3.9 inches, the 5 ring is 5.88 inches. The 5 and 6 are the only rings in the buff.

Sunday 25 yard iron sight practice. 6/6/2021
Score: 470-5X
Name: 72coupe/Roy Woodman
Location: Wichita Falls, Tx
Gun: RPRR
Set up: Aperture Sights
Ammo: RWS Special Match
Individual Target Scores: 91-1X, 95-1X, 94-1X, 99-2X, 91
Notes: Great morning for shooting, moderate wind and cool. I just couldn't hold concentration long enough to shoot a good score. When I realized I was practicing bad habits I went home.

Hi LTTG
The target we shoot is any version of the standard NRA A9 or A23
10 ring is 0.89"
We shoot this same tgt at 25 & 50 yds, with matches for Scope & Irons
25 yd matches are 50 shots, 50 yd matches are 25 shots/

All of that & more is laid out in our "Rules" thread, just click on the Offhand Rifle Match link at top of this page and you will see links for Rules, Scoreboards, etc

Bob

If you don't mind paper and won't miss any 5 or six ring hits, this is an equivalent target at a nice price.

Awesome scores Allen. Even more amazing that you have to go to the X count to break the tie with your friend Jack.

That's a whole lotta skillset shown right there.

It was your guardian angel dragging your muzzle off target just as you pressed the trigger. It was safeguarding your humility.

Most of us were assigned that same angel.

So THAT'S what it is !!! 'splains alot of things !

Reminds me of the little note i have in the patchbox of my flintlock:

"One must be true of heart and certain of belief,
in order for the angels & imps,
(who ride your rifle ball for sport)
to decide that your ball shall fly true, rather than erratic. "

Cheers all, it is a grand day for making some noise and smoke, so get out there !
