I've been looking at 1911 22s for a while now and finally found one.

Sportsman's Warehouse sent me an e-mail saying the gun was back in stock and I took no time to pay for it. I also checked that if I didn't want it after looking at it I could way away with a complete refund.

What accessories do you have or are you looking for in your Colt? I ordered 4 new magazines to go with it, I may end up shooting this gun for Rimfire Steel Open Pistole catches. At least it's the same grip panel as ny Ruger Black Mamba,

You may want to address the trigger pull. Mine was awful out of the box. Depending on you age/eyes, a fibre optic front sight might be a nice addition.

Yes, I'm already thinking of getting a Dawson FO front sight and replacement rear.

I figured the trigger wouldn't be the best but I'm going to break it in first.

Thanks.

You may want to check out https://www.taylor-tactical-supply.c...22lr-s/152.htm to find things you didn't even know you needed. Parts for my Colt/Walther 1911-22 were an excellent fit and look very cool.

I've got one of the Colt Walther 1911-22's, the Gold Cup model and I like it. The trigger could be better but it's not awful and I may get my gunsmith friend to look at it in the future when he has a little spare time. Meanwhile it's still fun to shoot as a real good plinker. I taught my 12 and 15 year old grand nieces to shoot with it, a Browning Buckmark Camper and a Ruger 22/45 a few years ago .
BTW, do you have a son who lives up my way here in PV? If so I met him last Sunday while I was out shooting here.

I have several spare mags for it and that's it, no accessories.
My main ammo is CCI Mini Mag and it's never bobbled on me. I should try some CCI SV in it next time I have it out just to see if the SV agrees with it.

Thanks. My son lives south of me. You may have seen him on his motorcycle last Sunday.
