When I go fishing a slip a little Rohm RG23 revolver into my pocket that a friend gave me for snake elimination duty. It always surprises me how accurate it is at short distances. 100% reliable too. I use stingers or HP mini mags in mine. If the fish aren't biting, I'll do a little plinking at tennis balls. Mucho fun!

My favorite is my 9 1/2" Ruger SS .22, loaded with crimped #12 shot cartridges. DRT from across the room! (small room)
Also works for carpenter bees and mud-daubers.

Prior to this year, the "mousiest" gun that I ever owned was a Glock 17,,

That Glock is an itsy-bitsy pistol,, compared to my 4 inch Smith Model 629,, or the 8 3/8 inch barreled Model 629,,

Oh, well,, some day, I will join the ranks of the true mouse pistol owners,,,

Maybe a 2 inch barreled Smith 629??

If you'll allow a revolver with a 3" barrel, this is my favorite nearly-a-mouse gun in .22 I have. Looks yuge next to a NAA mini, though.

Keltec P32. I only use Euro mfg 73 grain fmj. The American JHP is a waste of money and the FMJ is anemic. If I were looking for a 22lr it would be the LCP2. I wish they made it in 32 ACP.

My LCP II is a great mouse gun! Truly usable sights as compared to earlier versions, more comfortable grip too. Shoots waaay better than it should for its size. Really, no down side...if you can live with the 380 cartridge. (I can!)
I find it MUCH easier to shoot accurately than my Sig P232, even.

Something must be wrong with your 232

In this case the op seems to be looking for a 22 mouse gun.

Oops! Missed the part about the 22 preference.
No, nothing wrong with my P232. Just doesn’t fit me well enough. The LCP II fits (or just feels) better. My brother in law loves and shoots my P232 really well. I used to! Weird, but I do not like the feel and don’t shoot it like I want to.
I actually have developed a dislike for it...not enough to use the word “hate”.

Phoenix Arms HP22

Thanks folks for the good info. Doing plenty of hunting.

A local seller as a Phoenix Arms HP22 w/2 barrels. Said it about 10 years old and no more than 500 rounds through it.

Other than it's goofy config for safety and mag release it appears to get acceptable reviews.

Anyone have thoughts on this budget option. Any probs with Phoenix guns about 10yrs ago?
