10/22 Takedown and Charger Takedown Stock

Has anyone seen any 10/22 and Charger takedown stocks that are similar in look/style? I've done quite a bit of searching around and just haven't really found anything, mostly because there doesn't seem to be much for the Charger.

Having both a 10/22 and Charger takedown that are visually a match would be nice. And once the NFA paperwork comes back, being able to install the Charger barrel on the 10/22 SBR receiver and still look correct would be even nicer.

and a standard 10/22 carbine?

No, I want to match it to a 10/22 takedown.

get the matching color carbine stock from John Cannon at Cousineau's and send it to this guy for a conversion into a takedown stock

last time I talked with John was the first week of May, but he had a Green Mtn Camo carbine available then for $60

Telero, have you made any progress on this stock match. I've been planning the same thing as your doing and http://www.1022td-woodstocks.com seems to be the best option I've found.

I believe I have found my solution. I'll have everything in a couple days and update again then.

After a bit of searching (mostly image searching) I finally figured out what I wanted. The thing that took so long was that I initially discounted the AGP arms stocks since I didn't realize there was a gen 2 that works on the factory Ruger takedowns.

So what I ended up getting was a pair of the AGP arms folding stocks and a pair of their handguards. Removed the folding portion of one of the stocks and got pretty much what I was looking for. I had seen a couple pictures of a Charger/SBR in the AGP arms stock with the folding portion removed, and the only thing I have to figure out now is whether I want to cut off the hinge portion and find a way to install a sling mount, or if I want to incorporate the hinge portion into a sling mount.

Rifle and Pistol:

Long Pistol. Can't make that other connection yet, but I can determine the OAL to put on the form 1:

Rifle barrel on the left, complete Charger in the middle, rifle lower on the right:

Snug in the bag, but it is enough room:

What I ended up buying from AGP was 2 of the folding stocks, blemished (not actually sure what the blemish is) for $60 each, 2 handguards for $30 each, and a butt pad for $12.

That looks cool.

I was under the impression that a pistol could not have a barrel longer 15 & 3/4 in or an overall length longer than 25 & 3/4 in?

There is no restriction on the length of a pistol (US, federally). If you add a shoulder stock it becomes an SBR. If the OAL is above 26" it would become a generic "firearm."

The 26" OAL and 16" barrel length come into play when reducing the lengths of a rifle.

Just under 26" with the flash hider.

Last edited by telero; 06-12-2015 at 08:43 AM. Reason: Had incorrectly said length was without the flash hider.

10/22 Takedown and Charger Takedown Stock

Have you considered your optics/sights yet? I was thinking about possibly using raised scopes rings and a pistol barrel with iron sights. There will be some POI shift when changing barrels. The only other option I came up with for my project is http://www.adaptivetactical.com/prod...22-charger.php

I was thinking of something like a Bushnell First Strike for the pistol. And probably a fixed 4x for the rifle/SBR. Haven't decided which one yet.
