(Mark II) 22/45 and Mark III 22/45 Magazine Releases interchange?

Does anyone know if the magazine release for a Mark III 22/45 will work in an original 22/45 (Mark II style)?

I really cant help, but looking them up at Numrich they have different numbers but the pictures are the same looking. If it is not a generic picture. Links below.

Ruger has different part numbers too.

AP00501 = MKII
AP00504 = MKIII

Can't say that means anything though.
