ARA targets are computer scored with anyone who want's to challenge can ask for a review of sorts and have that shot plugged. Yes it is tougher to move to another target and you have a time limit of 20 minutes per card, most usually finish well in advance of that, but you do have time to wait for conditions to change if needed to improve your score if possible.

Yes for some like myself getting down to a prone position can be difficult. I usually have found getting down to a prone position is more difficult than just pulling up a throne and getting situated behind a good quality concrete bench.

I used to shoot 3P in my younger day's and it was easy, now not so much, prone is still doable and I fair OK,But have to use a scope because the eye's are shot

As previously promised, I have sent along few pictures:

There is a picture of a few rifles at the ready between relays, on our covered rifle firing line. Mine is the closest one (in the lower right).

Another image is of the NRA (A-33) target we use.
There are two relays, so two sets of targets for a match.
100 yards, shot prone, supported.
Unlimited sighters at the top and then 10 shots at each below in 20 minutes.
Then a second target is hung and all done again.

Then a close up of my best single target bulls eye for the whole year: 100 - 9x
My scores for that match broke down as follows:
98 - 6x, 100 - 7x, 99 - 8x, 100 - 9x
(397 - 30x)

So YES I would LOVE to see 100 yards matches here at RFC!

100 yd prone .22lr matches

rafii's photos are a testament to his shooting skill, it is not all about the equipment.
I am the match director for our smallbore f class matches at WBBSC and can tell you that shooting the NRA A33 target, outdoors, and judging wind is what makes it so challenging. These matches are fairly well attended with 12-20 shooters every month, rain or shine and several shooters whose scores are hovering around the "master" mark. But a misread wind call can change it all in a heartbeat!! Give it a try, I think you will find it to be very challenging and fun match to shoot!

Run em year round too....heck, it gets sort of cold here in Michigan during the winter, but my shooting partner and I still do it and we're in our 60's. Off a bench is fine with me too. Separate classes for bolt and autoloader????

Use the 100 yard Dewar target or a metric variant, if it's somehow "better".
1. F-Class TR equipment legal (or bipod if you wish)
2. Sling w/scope
3. Sling w/apertures
4. Stool shooters

I'm afraid you could take 3 targets, have them scored by 3 different individuals and come up with 2-3 different scores for each target scored .

again- a 25 bull Target shot @ 100 yards, off of a bench- front Bag, Bi-pod or Rest, with a rear bag.

I think getting down Prone and shooting is going to be a problem for some shooters.
Getting down isn't the problem for this old man, getting up from it is LOL
