Nice card Jim! I tried a Vintage 50-yard today but it was dismal, 231, problem was I was COLD! The north wind right down our necks and ammo that didn't like the temp were my best excuses.

I had on clothes that blocked the wind., so I did OK for staying warm. I had on gloves with the tips of the fingers cut off. I don't like the cold.

Nicest morning for shooting (until about 11 AM when the wind kept picking up) we've had in a while. Not really warm but fairly comfortable with a pretty consistent light 7-9 O'Clock wind. Was gonna shoot a 2nd target w/ a different lot# of ammo but abandoned the idea after the wind got up & switchy.

50 Yard Unlimited (shot 2/18)
245/10X Stan Gibbs Kingsland, TX (Cl;aybuster)
Winchester 52D - Weaver T36 - SK "Std+" ammo
'65 CMP barrelled action - "Kenyonized" 2 oz. trigger
Xtra heavy Fudd tuner - Surplus factory stock pillar-
bedded & self mod. to BR configuration.
Light 8-9 O'Clock wind (scored by self & Jim Pollard)

It's all I can afford, Dale . I shoot too much to use the "good" stuff!

All kidding aside, I really think if you get a good lot of SK that it's about as good as Black Box - you just have to get lucky & get thru the tgt without finding a "bad" flyer.

Well, 245 is just really doggone good for any ammo! You and Bernie are going to make me burn some ammo and get the tuner set. The 40x just isn't as consistent in this cool weather, so need to find a new setting.
