I took apart the slide components minus the sights and I also took some photos of the magazine disassembled.

I posted my initial impressions of the pistol here

Thanks for taking the time to share your findings. The manual advises against standard or subsonic rounds for best function. Most HV ammo will exit this barrel length at subsonic velocity.
The slight magnetism you noted is likely from the hammer smacking the breechblock/firing pin.
I think someone will mod the followers in the mags to 12 rounds soon.

That is the 1st thing i said this mag could be modifed to hold more. with S&W making a 12 rd on the M&P22 you would of thought Ruger would offer a 12 rd? like the Threaded bbl thing, yea they are going to offer it but they dont know how to offer them? john

@jungle375 - you're right, I didn't notice the first time I skimmed the manual. It says "sub-sonic or match-grade ammunition may not have sufficient energy to cycle the slide". Well, besides the Eley Match stuff, all the standard velocity ammo I've tried works so thats good news in my book. That means its a pretty tolerant pistol even when new.

I'm hoping we see a bunch of accessories announced at SHOT show, including higher cap mags.
