Question I need a pistol stand.

For loading my Traditions Buckhunter inline muzzleloader. I find a lot for revolvers, but none for this gun.
I want a good one.
I put an ad in the Trading Post here. We'll see what shakes out, but any leads would be cool.
This is my 1st black powder, and I'm chomping at the bit to get it to the range.
Thanks,
oldlib

I dont ever recall seeing one for that pistol but there's got to be a co. out there somewhere that sells them. There's a truck load of black powder supply companies out there.Try track of the wolf.com or Cabelas maybe??I have one for my revolvers and it's exactly like the one's they sell but I made it myself. If your into making things you could go that way if you couldnt find one to buy.Just a thought but hopefully you'll find one good luck.

If you look at the ones available, it is not too difficult build your own. A couple of 1x3 boards, hinge or two if you want fancy, a drill and bits and screws to hold it all together.

I only need to kick myself in the butt and get going on it. I've just retired, so I've got plenty of time. I'll need to buy a forsner bit and a vise. I have a lot of Dremel stuff.
Thanks for the pic. Hope you don't mind if I copy somewhat.
Thanks,
olderlib.

That is what I would call a VERY deluxe loading stand. It looks terrific! Very nicely done!

This is a single shot muzzle loader, correct?

I see the utility of a pistol stand for a revolver, but for a single shot I usually load in the field before use so don't need a stand.
If so, why not buy a short starter like this?

My apologies if I misunderstand the need. I shoot round ball out of a flintlock pistol, your requirements may be different.

Nice job I like how you did the recessed places for the ammo n caps etc. Now,, looking at yours, I totally want to make a nicer one for my Remington.I don't have a picture of it yet but it's like the regular ones, only it has a nice stainless hinge that's all.Maybe I will make another one.I might as well because I,m going to get another one

You made a nice one there, I like the places for ammo /caps whatever, I just might make another one for my newest revolver with cut outs like that. I like making my own stuff ! Why spend hard earned money on things I can make ? And it's fUn
