New to this forum so I am learning as I go. I did the JB weld trick and also a trigger job. The trigger job consisted of honing the hammer. When I work the bolt by hand everything is fine. But when I took it to the range to fire it fires the first shot and then the hammer does not reset. If I work the bolt back by hand for the hammer to catch it will fire one shot then not work. Did I screw something up? Thanks

Welcome to RFC, Sixgunner..

Lots of variable at work here, but my first guess is you took too much off the hammer...

OIL on the hammer and sear can cause the same problem...as well as several other things, however..

As Ron has noted in his Post above, you may have altered the 'angle' of the "Hammer" engagement notch; solution is to buy a "VQ" target hammer.

Or, you may have too much JB weld on the sear / disconnector, preventing it from resetting when the bolt cycles rapidly.....! !

Try removing some of the JB weld and retrying........

Good Luck.......
