I was hopeful for a couple mins, but it looks like that one is discontinued also. Both reticles show as "no longer for sale"

Thanks just the same!

I like that price, too. Unfortunately getting scopes across the border legally is as bad as guns.
Ii'll check with my Leupold guy locally, there's a chance the Canadian distributor may have some stock too.

The Tikka continues to work its way deeper into my affection accuracy-wise.

I tried a couple boxes of Federal Gold Medal Target ammo last weekend, it shoots as well or better than CCI SV.

Eley has a sub sonic version of their Force 42 gr ammo, called Contact. It shoots well from the Tikka, but is considerably more expensive than either the Federal or CCI.

SK Biathlon Sport shoots well too. It's getting colder here, I may switch to biathlon ammo for the winter months.

I've dropped back into my routine of cleaning the chamber and bore thoroughly every 500 rds. The rifle seems to settle back into good accuracy within 15-20 rds after cleaning.

It's having minor ejection issues with CCI and some SK ammo, the Federal never missed a beat. It extracts perfectly, then drops the extracted case in the action. Maybe twice in every ten shots. The slower you work the action, the better your chances of clean ejection.

I'm going to try KOD's trick of bending the ejector wire slightly to the right at the front and see what that does. I think a little more spring pressure will flick the empties clear of the action more reliably.

First 50 Yd Competition with Tikka 1X

Iím new to the forum, so excuse me if Iím no following protocol. Got my Tikka 1x about a month ago. Intentions were to enter into my gun clubs 50 yard bench rest bullseye competition. Put a Vortex 6x18-44 with a V Plex reticle on it with Warne 731 High Rings. Only other additions have been a vertical grip and T3recoil pad for a longer LOP. Shooting of a Rock BR and Protektor front and rear bags. I have never shot this type of competition before, but found out quickly, the gun is a tack driver. Mine prefers CCI-SV and shoot 1/4 inch groups all day. I was able to practice 3 times prior to my first match, shooting 100 rounds each time. I thoroughly clean the gun after each session. Canít complain about first score-226 with 4xís on first card, 228 with 5xís on second card. 454 with a rookie behind the trigger speaks volumes about this gun. Will try some SK and Wolf Target Match between now and next match.
