Check out Mueller Optics, they may have something that will work for you.
I've got two of their scopes and am very pleased with the quality and clarity. Both are AO side focus scopes, one is an 8-32X44, the other 40X56. both have 30 mm tubes.
Good luck,
Kiddshooter

Really like my Stryka 3-9x40 A/O side focus: VERY clear/sharp glass; very reasonable price.

Check out the Bushnell AR.

It will focus down to 10 yards.

Currently, they have a $40 rebate for the 3-9×40, which I have read in the GTA forum (airgun).

They also have a rimfire model but it is only a 2-7×32----also a side focus with BDC reticle.

I have a Hawke Vantage 3-9x40 AO scope that cost $110 and it works fine for my informal target shooting & plinking. I also found a Nikon ProStaff Target EFR 3-9x40 on sale a couple years ago for $140, but the current version runs about $180 or so. I like it a bit better than the Hawke. My other AO/EFR scopes are above your price range.

I've never heard of the Styrka scopes, and the Mueller scopes mentioned above are about $100 above your price range. I do have a Mueller 2-7x32 AO scope that cost $110 when I bought it, and while it is perfectly functional, the crosshairs are thicker than any of my other scopes. That's OK for plinking or hunting, an advantage really because it stands out from a cluttered background, but kind of limiting for target shooting since at longer distances the cross begins to block out my aiming point.

The trick with thicker crosshairs is to 'bracket' the target center with them in a repeatable way so your point of impact goes center rather than blocking your view.

SWFA has a sale on right now.

Mueller is a decent scope for the money.

I have a couple of Leupold Freedom 2x7 & a 3x9 that I really like. A little more than $150 but pretty good scopes for the money.
