I picked up the Lipsey Shopkeeper yesterday and its a good one. Took it to the range this morning and had a ball! It shoots fairly straight - feels great in the hand and is very well built. And considering all that I read about failure to extract the shells this revolver worked flawless. Another Ruger Winner!
Ruger makes a great little revolver but I just couldn't see paying the high price for one. I got the Heritage shop keeper in my hands for under $200; including a magnum cylinder. It does all I need it to do.

Seriously though, that Heritage looks like a viable alternative for those that need the larger trigger guard and Colt style grip frame.

Ruger themselves have had alot of complaints about the cylinder failing to eject on the Bearcat shop keeper's first run - short barrel -shorter ejector. But on the Lipsey model the barrel is slightly longer so the shells do eject.
I am not knocking Heritage I have owned more than a few with no issue's - But this last one was a Lemon.

That's a nice addition. Now, if you don't have one, it needs a regular 4.2 inch Bearcat to go with it.....
Not so expensive to keep me from owning two stainless ones.....
When you first shoot a Bearcat and your not use to shooting smaller guns there is a learning curve. They are not your everyday Mark IV - So when I say fairly straight - I'm talking more about myself than the revolver. They take a little time to get use to.
Oh and I do own a stainless 4.2
