Nice shooting! What spotting scope was used that can see those impacts at 300 yards? I tried a $200 Barska and could not make out 100 yard hits with a .30 rifle.

Believe it or not......it was a Barska!

lol, it was the ED model, i'm definately going to save my pennies and pick one up for myself. Unbelievable for a Barska, let alone a $250 spotting scope.

Hey, thanks for the link! How ironic, mine must have been the bargain basement crap. It certainly wasnt that model, maybe I'll try it out. I just didnt want to spend $2000 on a spotting scope for a $300 rifle.

Right now I use a $70 Barska that ain't got squat on the Barska that my buddy Steve is using. I think mine would have still spotted the hits as the weather was quite nice, and the air was really clear. His is just more comfortable to look through.

Smile Shooting the Savage Mark II to 300 yards:

Very nice shooting with a scope. You will help open the eyes of the "100 yard limit" crew. When you can shoot a couple of inches closer at 400 meters with iron sights, you will have caught me- that is a monotonous average of 7 inches. At least you are trying the potential of your rifle and load, which applies to maybe one in a 100 members.
