Short Range and Long Range

If SHTF and the zombies started attackin', these are my Short Range and Long Range rifles.

SIG 556 SWAT
Trijicon TriPower
Grip Pod System foregrip/bipod
Collapsible/Folding stock

Springfield Armory Loaded M1A
Sage EBR Mod 0 stock
Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x50 scope with illuminated Tactical Milling Reticle
Sadlak Industries scope mount
US Optics low rings
TangoDown bipod

Both of these rifles a lot of fun to shoot. It's just a little expensive to take them out all the time. They are both pretty accurate too. I know they shoot better than I can.

Very nice. I have a Sig 556 too but it has been sitting in the back of the safe. It is a great gun but I have too many other toys so it just sits.

How do you like your Ergo Grip on the EBR stock? I am a huge fan of the Ergo Grip but I did not care for it on my EBR. The EBR stock is awsome though here is my MK 14 Mod 0 clone with a couple friends,

Mines just a plain ol' Remington 870 12ga.

Wish I had this for long range...

I have the SIG 556 SWAT and the SOCOM 16.

I couldn't agree with you more on being prepared for zombies......

Very nice collection!

I traded a Colt AR-15 for the 556. I had too many issues with the Colt, so I started lookin' at the piston AR's. That's what led me to the 556. Figured a rifle designed with a piston, rather than modified with one, would be better. I don't regret my decision at all.

I like the grip that came with the Sage. I think it's comfortable. I actually wasn't expectin' to like it as much as I do. I love the weight and solid feel the Sage stock gave the rifle. It's heavy, but I don't mind that at all. Mine started life lookin' like your middle one.

If you every wind up gettin' one of those long range weapons, PLEASE let me know. I'll come visit ya and even buy ya a beer or 20, after a little shootin' of course.

You should join up at sigarms556.com. Some good info on there.

If I had the extra money, I'd have a SOCOM 16. Somethin' about a CQB 7.62x51 just gets me goin'.

FWIW I was looking at the SOCOM to put in the EBR stock. After doing lots of reading I ended up doing the MK 14 Mod 0 and I get a 18.5" barrel that uses all standard part (unlike the front end of the SOCOM) and I am less then 1" longer in length.

Yeah, I've thought about droppin' a Scout barrel in mine, but then I remind myself that I set up this rifle to really reach out. I know the Scout can, but I think the longer barrel can do it just a little more accurately. If I ever got a SOCOM, it would be because it's different from what I have. I need to hit the **** lotto.... lol
