Bergara 17HMR??

Has anyone received one of the new Bergara 17HMRs yet? It was said that they will arrive in the USA late May to early June. I've ordered one from Reed's with a projected delivery date 3-5 months out, which means by October 1st at the latest or hopefully August 1st. Any other news out there would be appreciated.

They are making the Bergara BMR (Bergrara Magnum Rimfire) which you can read about on their website. Selling for $500-$600. And the B-14R, which is the heavier target model for about $1200. They both use a proprietary Bergara mag. These rifles will be top of the line 17HMR as are all their rimfires.

Followed up with the outfit trying to order a 22wmr b14r for me, they had no updated timeline aside from "early summer" was obviously optimistic. In my local were experiencing widespread shortages ranging from raw materials to restockers at grocery stores, I'd say no surprise on the delay.

I am glad I went ahead with a Tikka 17 HMR, shooting quite well!

Today marks the 5th month I've waited for my order. Reed's predicted it would be 3-5 months. Still waiting.

The BMR acronym, according to the quarter page ad from Bergara on pg 50 of the Sept issue of the American Rifleman magazine stands for 'Bergara Micro Rimfire', not as quoted above. I know a dealer in WV who has had 10 of these (in .22lr) ordered for a long time. As of a week ago, he has no scheduled delivery date for them. There is interest in them for ARA Factory class, as the their other offering is not approved for that class. With the current pandemic shortages in almost every area, including shipping, I think they will be delayed even further.....JMO.

Update: I contacted Reed's where I ordered the B-14 17HMR. They said they are not optimistic that they can get these rifles before spring of 2022. It sucks, but that is the current state of our disrupted supply lines.
