This is the best info I have found on the aperture sight so far.

There are clear markings showing it to be a factory beretta piece and also how it is mounted (NICE). The trick of course is where to actually find one...
Did you ever find one? Beretta Aperture Sight.
Do you have a model number?

Thanks,
Kevin

Did you ever find one of these Beretta made aperture sights?
Does anyone know the model number? Location to buy one?

Thanks,

Kevin

After searching for a while, I'm fairly certain finding one will be a "right place at the right time" situation since removal from a working rifle will leave a hole. The only ones I've seen for sale were on complete rifles on Italian gun selling sites. You could try your luck and offer money to those folks selling, but you may need to brush up on your Italian

Looks like these are long gone from Dan's, but I do see them in ads from J&G Sales in Arizona.

For what it's worth, I just ordered one of the mounts above from OPMS2. I ordered with PayPal on Saturday and it had been shipped via UPS this morning. Net with UPS shipping was just under $100. I had to use Google Translator on the side to decipher some of the notes. The only glitch was that the instructions showed to enter a 0 for the Italian tax ID if from out of the country, but that didn't work. I had to use a web site I looked up to generate a bogus tax number for just this use. It went right through and didn't charge VAT. Other than that it was easy as pie. (Pizza Pie?)

xotech thanks for sharing that link. Too bad they were all gone by time I checked. Maybe some of those Canadian guns will have peep sights that end up on ebay for us!

As an update, mine is still a joy to shoot and remains one of my favorite 22's.

Well I did something I never do and bought a Beretta Olympia blind from J&G. In their ad it states some would have rear Diopter base. So I bought the last diopter on EBay right after buying the rifle. I requested a rifle with no chips in stock and a base. I got a relatively nice rifle with only one small chip near the trigger guard but no base. Now I have this Diopter I spent nearly as much on as the rifle and no way to use it. Does anyone have an extra base they would be willing to sell or can anyone point me in the direction of where to find one?

Seller of diopter is going to get me for another $75 for the base. Lesson learned about buying from J&G or any of the other garbage dealers like them Classic, etc. Come to think of it I have never had a positive experience with any dealer except Simpson's and SOG and I have bought at least one firearm from all of them.

Anyone know where to get a front tunnel sight?

Is there a complete list of magazines that will fit the Beretta Olympia?

Vintage beretta magazines

There are three options for factory magazines I am aware of 5, 10, and 20 rounders. They are sort of hard to find. Many confuse the later weatherby Italian and Japanese made rifle mags for the old ones. The main difference is the Olimpia early mags do not have the side button as the later weatherby magazines do and it seems the notch for the catch is located differently too. I suppose the later mags can be made to work, but they are pricey for the amount of conversion work needed to be done. I dont know of any 20 rounders that we’re made for the weatherby rifles.....just for the early Berettas.
