Thanks to everyone who has posted so far. It sure helps the first timer to an AS shoot to see some of what to expect. The pics so far have been great!

Sorry, but that's about 790 miles from here (and my wife's birthday is that weekend), so I'll have to excuse myself from that one. I've posted a request on another board for someone in that area to shoot some aerials. I'll let you know if I get any takers.

The way I fly, you'd be airsick pretty quick if you rode on my plane. I doubt anyone makes a saddle small enough to fit on the plane anyway.

I've only received one reply on my quest to find an aerial photographer for the Waterman event, and he's a guy who makes money from aerial photography. He's also 100 miles away. I'm afraid you'll have to take up a collection to convince him to make the trip. I've asked him how much it would take for him to make the trip. I'll let you know when/if he replies.

He says $300 will get him there with his plane. You might find a local pilot with a real plane for less. Let me know what you decide.

Shooterer, last pics sure do give a good example of "bring what you got" when it comes to rifles. Thanks for the post........
All of the pics sure do show good examples of scoped and iron sights too.....Once again, thanks for the post.......

Day 2, 8pm

8pm on the ride home from Tuscaloosa, AL. (If he was 13 instead of 12, I would have made him drive so I could sleep.)
We were bone-tired, but the whole weekend was "priceless".

I love seeing the guy doing Appleseed with an AK. I will be taking mine as a backup gun, but I'll only give it a try after first completing things with my .22LR. I'm surprised they didn't put him on the far right end. Those AK's tend to throw there spent cases about 25 miles out to the side. And they're fairly loud too (especially if you have a muzzle brake on it - not talking about that slant brake on this particular AK though - those are relatively quiet).

If I can make it to an Appleseed that has long range in addition to the more typical 25 meters, I'll be going at that with my Mosin 91/30.
