Looks really nice! Now, go shoot it!! (Okay, maybe don't shoot it as fast as that. Ammo is kind of pricey! )

Yeah compared to the $0.02 I've been paying lately for 22lr it's 25x-50x worse. And that's when I can even FIND some. But I HIGHLY recommend 5mm if you haven't hunted with it. While I have not tried 17wsm, it's the best rimfire I have for hunting and I own a %%%%load of rimfires.

On the plus side, several places all sent me email today and said they have it in stock. So new shipments must be coming in. We'll see how long Aguila run it for, and if it was a single run or not.

I think you did well at 700. I couldn't get 1200 out of my whole 5mm collection so I kept it all. 1000 rds of ammo, white, green, and both centurion types, a 591 with 3 mags, a spare 591parts gun, a 592 and center fire conversions for both with dies and 300 rds of Craig and Schroeder brass.

I grew up shooting thousands of rounds out of my dads 591. It is the king of rimfires for sure. In my opinion the 17wsm should have been a 20 wsm. Then it would have been really special. A while back I was lucky enough to find a custom 591 myself. I love it! The only downside is that I still think the original Remington ammo was the best. I actually shot the barrel out of an old Marlin 22 mag in my youth. ( how many rounds does that take). And I never found an ammo that would penetrate on coyotes, not over damage squirrels and rabbits, and anchor groundhogs like the 5mm. I have been using the 17hmr with the 20 grain xtp for the last 20 years, and it is very good also. If the 17wsm was loaded with a 25 grain xtp it would be awesome. I love your new rifle! Congrats!
