Question Cleaning...again, but not quite

My CZ 455 has a tight bore! Felt .22 pellets on a standard (?) adapter....forget it! Patchworm and pull-throughs don't seem to cut it.

I have the Outers black (coated?).20 caliber cleaning rod, but the tip adapters have disappeared. LGS carry the rod and adapter sets only.

Can someone suggest a 3rd party manufacturer that offers !. a rod tip 2. a jag 3. an adapter that will allow regular .22 cal. brushes, jags, and maybe the .22 pellet adapter to be used on the Outers rod?

Or, just bite the boolit, and buy a new rod and the necessary attachments?

Should a person buy the standard .22 rod, or go to the smaller sizes?

Thanx

Are you talking about a Dewey rod?

If so - you can get all the goodies online through the usual sources or Dewey's website.

I would certainly be keeping a Dewey rod - they are fantastic.

No...as stated, the small one is an Outers .20 caliber. My .22-270 rod is a Dewey.

What they said^^^.

Dewey makes excellent .20 cleaning rods in teflon coated steel. It comes with a .20 jag and the sell an adapter to use .22 jags and brushes.

Everybody has a similar note about CZ barrels needing a 20-cal rod. The 22 caliber rod jams up in it.

Looks like Outers sells the adapters on their website - it's a #5-40 to #8-32 and then you can run the rod in your CZ with the correct 22 cal brushes.
