Took off my Volquartsen compensator today and cleaned the lead out. Lots of lead for only 300 rounds shot. Used 50% Hydrogen Peroxide and 50% Vinegar. Works well in about 3 hours just soaking.

Wow! Have you ever plugged a barrel and soaked in that solution? If so, for how long? Is the comp blued? Inquiring minds want to know... Three hours, from what I have read, is a long time for that mixture. I have done electrolysis in barrels, for 20 to 25 minutes at a time, but don't have a comp. Looking good. ...... AH

I've never plugged the barrel and soaked it with the solution. It never seems to need it. Patches come out clean after about 5 soaked with MPro-7.

Yes, it is a blued comp.

Was that the range friday night shot the exact same amount of rounds CCI Blazer without a hiccup. I had a lot of lead build-up in my compensator as well and used the exact same ingredients and removed all the lead. That mixture works great.

Your VQ comp is anodized, not blued. If that was a steel comp/ blued the paracetic acid "dip" would have made short work of the finish.
