Pffffft.... 1/2" at 50 is not a problem with the KIDD UL's. With all due respect I have mounted MANY and all are MOA.. some are sub-MOA with better ammo's .

EDIT with explanation: That is 3- 3 rd. groups at 50 .. And it was after burning about 8-10 rounds to get the optic on X. And it is indeed shot at the intersections.. and when I shoot for groups I give it 4 to 6 clicks left so I can retain my aim point. This with a NEW barrel.. no break-in. Ol' box of Wolf MT was the ammo.

The target you have posted must be at 100yds (one moa), but doesn't seem to meet that standard.
What am I missing?
Is that ring suppose to measurer at one inch?

Not picking on KIDD.
I have a 2013 version of their Supergrade that has just a shot a 246-3X and 244-5X on the USBR 50yd target.
However that was with their 20 inch match barrel which it came with, so not really in keeping with this thread

On a side note:
Your photo is so large I have to use the slider at the bottom of this thread to see it all.
You might want to scale it down a bit.
Up to You.

It's printed on the target - those are 5.5", so that center ring is about 2"

Not sure but I think the picture of the target is 3 single shots aimed at the intersecting lines just to show the potential accuracy and not a group.

I ran a Volquartsen lightened tensioned barrel in a hogue overmolded stock for awhile…it did well, but once I put the action into a volquartsen thumb hole laminated stock it all came together. Still light weight but enough weight at the core to make it work.

Just wish that barrel was threaded……

Oh, yeah.. that part I got! Wasn't implying it had that much horizontal spread (with perfect vertical! )

I currently have two KIDD ULW barrels and have had probably four more over the years. All were great shooters, and a couple are/were as good as the KIDD SS tapered barrel that is phenomenal. My ONLY beef with KIDD is that they don't offer a true sporter contour barrel. I was lucky enough to have two beautiful finger groove stocks made. The first from Mike Turner in Spalted Sycamore, and the second from Evan Koch (ek-marlin-424) in a laminated Cherry -- neither would accept anything "fatter" than a sporter contour. So a couple of the KIDD ULW's were replaced with a Feddersen and Green Mountain. If you truly want a LW barrel and your stock will accept a .870" barrel (works just fine in a bull barrel stock), the KIDD ULW is a great choice.

I'm on my phone and the picture was too small for me to tell that each one of those holes was more than one shot.

Thanks all, a quick search shows a Kidd ULW runs about $205 and the LW about $35 more than that. Does that seem about right or does somebody have better prices these days?

Sounds right to me. Kidd doesn't really do much as far as sales go and they don't have anyone else that sells their products for them.

Thanks all, after weighing it all, I'm going to give the Kidd UL barrel a try. Chances are, I'll be thrilled . If not, I'm not married to it.

When I bought my Kidd ULW barrel I remember that it didn’t carry the same accuracy guarantee as the other barrels but mine shoots 1/2 at 50 all day long.

I bought a KIDD ULW this summer. Use it for squirrel hunting. I sighted it in at 40 yards. It is less than half an inch with Eley at that distance. The only thing is it takes me a little longer to settle down on off hand shots. But am getting better the longer I use it.
