You only got one response, so here's my 2 cents worth. I had a 541 target heavy bbl. I also shot a couple of Japanese Miroku (Browning) Win 52B. But their website claims that the X bolt is a Miroku (Japanese) product and that the A Bolt is from Portugal and/or Belgium.
If the A bolt rim fire was a Miroku product I'd tell you to jump on it. The modern 541 Rems that I've used have been a bit fussy. I would rather have an a Browning Bolt action rifle. Aftermarket parts aren't super common for either rifle, but based on my experience with the Browning 52B and a number of A Bolts in small centerfire calibers like 22Hornet, I'd go Browning.
It would also be a bit more unique, IMO the obvious way to go in SS bolt would be with a CZ of some kind. I think that something else, something interesting like an A Bolt or even a Ruger 77 (typically a crap trigger, often needs a BUNCH of other work) would be fun. Browning has a great name and resale value too.
I did a bunch of work to my Rem 541T HB - and sold it to a friend for $350 with Burris rings and a scope, I personally would never buy another unless I could test fire it first. The two Browning 52Bs were wonderful, accurate with expensive ammo and had great, but not SUPER light triggers. We changed springs and were very satisfied
