Today was the day that was supposed to be the day but the day didn't turn out quite like the day I had envisioned. I think I rushed things and started shooting a little too early. Should have waited a couple more hours but I just knew I was gonna be on and couldn't hold myself back. I shot 3 targets with the Silhouette and didn't finish a one and one with the 455 Tacticool and trashed it on the 3rd row. I think I'll take a week off and hold my last target with the American till next Wednesday. It is forcast to be a really nice day. I might stay up late and post the target at 11:55, just to keep Squirelbark in suspense.

Now I don't feel bad about my pile of targets that never made it to the end of row three.

At least when i cut out the unused parts I've got plenty of practice targets. With 3 rifles to shoot, I am never without practice stuff. I set my standard and if I fall below it then that target is done and scratched as one of my 4. So it is easy to see why I always have practice stuff. I'm usually good for one good target a month out of 12.

Lee, you should sell your sillouet and buy a Bergara B14R. Or, if you want a centerfire--a Sauer 100. I shot my 6.5 Creedmoor yesterday ad it has put the fun back into center fire.

Certainly an option Squirrel. I did shoot it better than the last time. Managed one 247 out of it so it still has potential. I've got enough to shoot right now but I could put that money back and buy more ammo when prices return to reasonable.

Official September Entry

Wind was hardly noticeable today so I gave it one last try with target #4. I left a little bit of the rabbit in the hat, but got enough to pass the hump.

Looks like you cleared that hump with room to spare, Ken. Congrats and welcome to the "band of the frustrated". The next hump just got a lot higher. Believe me, I know. LOL.

Very good Ken. I'm not there yet but working on it. The Trainer stock is a hinderance for this type target. Need to do something about it but haven't decided what how or when.

These are all such good scores that every shooter ought to be really happy and proud that he is eliminating these green monsters who are threatening america!

It has nothing to do with this match but at least I know that this rifle is ready for deer season.

Yep. Pretty darn good for an old coddger. I've never shot 200........ don't know of a place I hunt much over 100. Mostly in the woods. I know you are happy with that rifle.

I took the dog for a walk early this morning and there was no wind and 70 degrees. I thought Near the end of the month and it looks like a nice day to shoot. Best day ever. But Im going to need a whole lot more 10Xs.
