I haven't been on here all year but went squirrel hunting last week so figured I would jump on. This may be my favorite squirrel rifle, 581 restocked, reworked trigger and had pulled the factory barrel and shortened to 20". I had scrubbed the barrel to remove any possible contamination after lathe work. Reset the headspace and shot with my favorite squirrel ammo and others, shot crappy. Put it on the rack as ive got a lot of treatment going this year.

Figured I better get it out and maybe rebarrel with an Anschutz barrel I have sitting but decided to give it another try first. Shot a bunch of CCI and SK through it and that's all it needed. Tack driver again. About 6lbs total weight.

It's just awesome to be able to walk in the woods. I hope everyone is good.

Good to have you back with us. I had a 581 and sold it on here. Yours looks nice and shoots well, too.

Congrats on getting back. I have also been out for a while but on the mend now. I have been trying to get back and have been taking short walks in some trails with a walking stick. I feel good enough now to make a try. I can walk in a way and sit under a tree. Nice Rem also. I have a 582 that shoots well.
