CCI Sub sonics. Heavy wind, temperatures way below freezing. My first time with my CZ at 100 meters (110yds). I wish I was able to shoot MOA but all my groups were around 1.15-1.3''
Is doing 1 MOA groups at 100 (reliably) asking too much of the 22lr?

The white sticker is exactly 1'' in diameter.

What CZ model are you talking about?

Regardless, In those conditions I'd say thats pretty nice shooting for any shooter and rifle. I would sure be happy with those results.

A stock 452 heavy 20.5'' barrel, with a 3-10x40 Weaver Grand Slam with a bidpod and bag as rear rest at 110 yds.

This is my first 22 rifle, coming from center fire bench rest shooting its hard to accept less than MOA accuracy. That day I tried a friends 308 and made a .40 group with the first 5 shots at 100.

Maybe the groups get smaller in summer, I'm pretty sure those sub sonics were supersonic due to the cold weather.

HaHa, welcome to the world of rimfire.
The wind, atmospheric conditions, speed, and a host of other little gremlins, are a whole different ballgame with that subsonic 40gr pill vs. CF.
You had the 2 toughest. Wind and cold.

Well, I paid for my arrogance thinking I could shoot super tiny groups right from the start since I have holy CF bench rest experience.
The little 22lr humbled me!

But if wind and cold is the worst it can only get better, everything is better in summer. Also the trigger is crisp but really heavy which was death to my stiff freezing trigger finger. I have to see if its adjustable.

Tried it again at 110 yds. With the rifle sighted in at 110 the CCI sub sonics shoot 4'' high at 50.

110yds, 6 shots:

WOW I have to try CCI sub sonics in my CZ's They are so much cheaper than many others and I would love to accomplish grouping like that at 100 yds.

I was doing some shooting today with my CZ455 in .17HMR. I was shooting at 50 yards with Hornady 17 grain. Here's two of my sheets.

This is three 5 shot groups with my best today at .162"

And a sheet with four 5 shot groups that averaged at .460"

I'm starting to really like this rifle. This is only my second time shooting this rifle and the results are promising.

Does it look like a 1.78'' group?

The group is 20.05 millimeters wide, thats 0.78 inch.
