We quit Christmas decorations years ago. Tiny house, tiny budget, nobody to see them but us and a house full of cats who would love to destroy anything like. We were rarely home at Christmas anyway, usually visit the wife's folks.

Spent most of the day trying to buy a tv. I didn't accomplish my mission but I gave it a good effort. I just want something 24-32" 1080p, wired ethernet, wifi, and hdmi cec and hopefully not a hunk of junk. After reading tons of reviews I'm having a heck of a time separating the wheat from the chaff.

I noticed that reviews on bestbuy are uniformly higher than reviews on abcwarehouse and amazon. Wonder why? It would seem that they should be about the same with a large sample size. Abcwarehouse irritated me. I clicked on read manual. It sent me to a manual website that wanted to install a browser addon. The could have pointed me to the manufacturers website. Sleazy.

I want to use this thing both as a tv and a computer monitor at times. Oh well first world problems.

While I was out I made some groceries, so I won't starve this week. Sure were a lot of people out getting stuff.

I'm enjoying your pictures Stan. BIF (birds in flight) are the hardest to shoot.

Aw you're young yet.

Not one square foot of horizontal surface of this abode doesn't have something added except for 1/2 of a sofa table where my puter sits and the end table on the other side of my recliner with a lamp and phone on it. Man needs elbow room don'tcha know.

Strung no stretch but slippery fish line betwixt the fence and an apple tree. When I tightened it up screwing an eyebolt into the fence it went pop, my slip knot W/O the s-hook in it popped out. Dangnabbit or sumpin. Start over. We'll see if Tubby can do a Keanu Reeves, on a rope thats only a smidgeon thicker than sewing thread, to reach the feeder hanging in the middle.

Many years ago, I was helping uncle put some windows in the church. Old building, once the township hall. No one had a sawsall but we had a homelite chain saw. It got the job done.

The next day (Sunday), there was still blue smoke and the pastor made a comment that perhaps cutting the openings from the outside might have worked better.

I'm fortunate the birds hang out there where I was and had the camera pointed in the right direction.

Does anyone notice the resemblance between a heron and a pterodactyl? (shortly after liftoff)

I'm betting on Tubby. No sweat though, .270 Winchester will knock him right off there.

That's really encouraging news on YWC, Rhody! Good to hear of her rapid progression.
--

Baylor & OU going at it hard, [just now past tense w/OU taking the win in OT] but I was just keeping up w/it on line & not watching directly. Have been loading more .410 hulls this morning, bagging some leaves, doing some minor whacking & snipping in the beds, &c. Decided to go and shoot tomorrow rather than today. 'Twas still in the 50's until the past hour, winds have died off in the past few minutes. It will be in the 70's tomorrow and sunny. Now to watch Don's guys take on Georgia. Bride has been out gathering stuff for the garden club Christmas lunch and punch made w/prosecco, cava and citrus fruits and cranberries. Lots of whatnots. Tiny bit of a coldish sniffle I had this morning has finally dissipated. TV time now.
--

Good scoring and putting up the Christmas tree report, dlong! Neat stand too. I've never seen one like that before.
--

My condolences to you and Karen, Don. Hope that she can focus on celebrating his life this Christmas.

Al, I tried the fishing line thing, didnt work. Those sharp little claws just cut it. Did not try any of the new braided line, that may have worked.

Did use small dia. fence wire,Now they go"hand over hand" up-side down to get to the suit feeder. Its fun to watch....

Condolences on your father-in-law's passing Don. Prayers for your family. It's never easy, but especially this time of year.
