I picked up some boxes of 17hmr Hornady 20gr. XTP to see how it worked in the higher spring windy season.

First time using it today in my Golden Boy, I noticed right away while chambering, the fit seemed tight into the chamber (slightly more lever pull needed than others).

It fired fine, seemed to hit where I expected, no real deviation from the 17gr. but while cycling out the spent shells, it was fairly tight. Tight enough that I had to work the lever harder than I've ever had to.

I measured the tip, case at a few spots, before the neck and after and it was close enough that it shouldn't matter, length wise it's shorter than the 17gr because it's a flat nose.

Anyone else had this issue, are there issues others are having with swelling on these? I didn't save any of the spent brass to measure it, but it didn't looked swelled.

Would this be better posted in the 17hmr section? I haven't tried it in anything but the Henry so far.
