Have a Savage B-Mag that I'm thinking about getting a Boyds Stock for it. The Spike Camp budget stock seems like a good one for it, any one with experience with one please advise?

I bought one awhile ago for one of my Remington 581s. The inletting is fine for the rifle, and while I can't say that I'm displeased with the stock, it's just OK. Done over, I would probably go for the Evo instead (though it is a very different style of stock). I've found that the color you choose is important and the more "natural" ones -- browns and grays -- seem to work better. But that's just me. YMMV.

I have a Spike Camp for my 597, I like it much better than the factory plastic stock. I like the woodland camo colors and the finish, and it's much stiffer than the plastic stock. The only item I didn't like was the length of pull, it was about 13-1/4 inch which is at least 1/2 inch shorter than the factory stock. I made a 3/4 inch plywood spacer to get the LOP up to where I like it, so the stock is a keeper for me. You can see some home made spacers in this thread.

Well I guess I'm going to find out, as I went ahead and ordered one.
Thanks

What color did you order? That seemed to be the toughest part of ordering - I changed my mind several times before I ordered the Woodland Camo.
