I wish I knew how you do that; I've always said if you top shooters saw what I see through the sights you would throw down the rifle, and run screaming through the woods.

They'd need dramamine to see what I've seen.

I find it mindbending that any of you can keep a rifle steady enough to shoot with that kind of magnification.

Really appreciate you saying I’m a top shooter. I do put a lot of time in but I love it. I think what helps my shooting is a combo of things. Relatively heavy gun and quite a bit of physical conditioning. But most of all is a lot of repititions between live fire and dry fire in the basement. As far as magnification goes,I’m far from real steady but the more reps I put in the more the gun goes off at the right time if that makes sense.

Here's a top silhouette shooter, Erich Mietenkorte, shooting a smallbore silhouette Pig swinger (60 meters out). He's using a fixed 25X scope.

Sure wish I could that steady.

When you get toward the last target, do the weight and fatigue conspire against stability?
We are about the same age. The decline in my strength compared to a decade ago is marked, and I don't think I would last 50 rounds with the kind of long heavy rifle I loved when I was 25.

Doesn’t seem to bother me. But I take the gym about as seriously as my shooting. Just don’t enjoy it as much lol. My strength has gone down as far as pushing heavy weights. I just concentrate on higher reps lower weight than before. Seems easier on these old shoulders.

His wobble area is so small. It's incredible.
