Bought a S&W PC victory. Had to send it back to the mother ship. For FTE, Stove piping FTF. After waiting seven weeks, I got it back. They said the changed the extractor and ejector. Had a chance to get out and sight it in. It ran well through 200 rounds. Not a single hiccup. 2, 10 shot groups at 20 yards. 20210303_183950_1615654333774.jpg

Very nice, indeed! I love mine, but it's not nearly so pretty.

FWIW, there were many reports of ejection failures with brand new Victorys. Mine did the same thing and the problem was that the ejector, which is spot welded in place, was just missing the edge of the spent casing during the action cycle. Extraction from the chamber is usually OK until the claw wears, so it normally just takes a slight tweak to angle the ejector toward the center to permanently resolve the issue. I used a flat blade screwdriver and moved the ejector maybe an 1/8th of an inch, IIRC. I'm sorry you lost 7 weeks in the warranty shop, but now that it's back, you will really enjoy that pistol!

Are the Tandemkross upgrades better than whatís in the PC?

Iím wondering if the Tandemkross aftermarket parts are better than those that come in the newer Performance Center carbon fiber barrel Victory? The trigger that came on the gun is better and so is the mag release so Iím unsure whether to install the firing pin, extractor, and hammer. If anyone has some knowledge about this please hit me up. Iím thinking Iíll try the parts out and see which is better.

Ynotnasty, now that I have it back. And up and running wonderfully. I won't change a thing on it. I'm really not a big fan of changing parts out. Although I'm very mechanically inclined. I just don't see the sense in it, just my opinion.

SteveNH, yes I was aware of the ejector problem. I thought about doing it my self. I tore it down to have a look. I seen it was only spot welded. Figured knowing my luck, I would break the weld. Decided just to send it back.

I too was disappointed with the quality of firearms that are coming out of the Performance Center. Same thing happened to me with a Model 41 and just got it back a couple of weeks ago.

Seems like QC is lacking or Smith and Wesson no longer cares.
