That is one of the funniest posts I've seen in a long time. I am certain that your target result really is something you can do "all day long" too.

One of the advantages to having an accurate rifle is that you can shoot a group like that anytime from just about any position including offhand.
However, it does require a bit of practice.

I think the rifle is more instrumental in the performance of the ammunition.

And I don't have the $$ to shoot a box of ammo all at one time. Wish I did, but such is life. I do get good results from using different manufacturers in most of my rifles.
Switching from one manufacturer to another may require a click or three to re-established a POA/POI.

My 22WMR really likes the Winchester 30 gr. PT Vmax. But it will also shoot the Aguila 40 grain nearly as well. I don't have a good 100 yd backstop, so most of my shooting is at 50 yds. +/-. I am having fits trying to put in an Imgur photo.

Not only evil, but delusional as well...

....or possible it would apply at really really close range.

It's so much fun around here, I should probably get back to work.

Pretty sure I annoyed him also.

But...... it's still not all day long.

I am so easily entertained.
And apparently loose with your facts likely not on purpose, the mentioned target was shot with a .17hmr, a Anschutz 1717D in fact and it was three 10 shot groups at 100 yards in 20 mins., one of the more entertaining games someone came up with.

Iíll admit to being delusional. Thanks for the compliment.
Actually, Iíve always wanted to be considered eccentric but I never had the money for it so Iíve had to settle for being just plain nuts.

I try not to be, but as Bob (dnttech) already knows,
the memory is one of the first things to go.

Good thing I've got folks to keep track for me.

I have to agree that my 1st and 2nd shot accuracy is the important part of my hunting gun(s) so spread (as we we see, hardly a group in the sense we tend to think group) extreme range not so much. I also think that it is illustrative of what I want/need to know about the ammo variability, even mediocrity, just in case I want to 'take the long shot'.
Here I was thinkin' it was all me that was poor on out there
Hey Jaia, just so we can see some apples to apples here, how about You shoot some 5 or 10 shot groups at 50 or 100yd for show and tell?

I'm one of what noremf used to call Seasoned Shooters so I understand and that's why I said I doubt it was intentional.

22 Magnum Accuracy

My Ruger 10/22 Mag loves Federal TNT (30GR, 2200fps) ammo. 1/2" groups at 75 yards. CCI Ballistic Tip (30gr, 2200fps) is almost the same accuracy. Both are super lethal on Eastern Oregon Ground Squirrels. The Hornady Ballistic Tip is in that 1/2" group when they 'fire'. The heavier Hornady brass causes about 30% misfires in my Ruger...and that's after having the Bolt and head-space done by the Randy at 'CPC' and installing a new firing pin. Before Randy did his magic....The Hornady ammo gave me 70+% misfires....Primarily due to the Thicker Hornady Brass.

My guess on who 'Manufactures 22 Mag Ammo in the USA is: CCI & Remington.

Enjoy and SHOOT SAFE!!!!!!

With that guess... you'd be half right.

Find the date code on the side of that Remington box.
Then guess again.

22wmr accuracy

took my new 455 American out for a shakedown last night after zeroing my old fixed 10x weaver, it is so repeatable I use it for just checkin rifles and ammo. at 100 yds I was able to get 1-11/4" with cci Winchester 40 grs went to 30 gr Hornady and punched 5 in to a 5 shot group. don't know who the culprit is but it's a shooting combination. gotta love cz. more after another cleaning and lubing up the trigger group
