Leveling Gehmann front iris

I have a front iris that I am screwing into a 22mm front sight. How do I rotate it so the crossbar is leveled? Hold with scanner wrench, and turn adjustable iris ring until the whole thing moves? Tried that, but didnít budge. Wanted to make sure was doing it right before applied more pressure. Thanks.

Memory

If memory serves me right. The spanner wrench just locks the iris. You screw the iris in until you are satisfied and the bars are level, then you use the spanner wrench to adjust the lock ring to keep it there. It will take a couple of trys.
