I picked up a Ruger 8334 RAR,and what I do is take it all apart and start polishing grinding and refitting. I love taking a 200 dollar rifle to make it outshoot them high priced target rifles. Now with the 8334 the only thing I bought was a 1.5 to 2 pound trigger spring. And I did an Appleseed and got a patch. So don’t let anyone discourage you, just a little work and it will shoot as good as a high priced target rifle. Oh yeah a Leupold on top.

Gonna get out and shoot late today hopefully. Try to get a range report soon as possible.

I really like the looks of this rifle and could see it being a great little plinker...

I'm looking forward to hearing how these shoot in the wild...

I like this one personally. I always do something to every gun I own - trigger, new barrel, stock, whatever. I enjoy tinkering with them and making them shoot accurately. This one looks like a nice start to me.

68Hoyt, I like the longer barrels too. This 22" heavy barrel is about the size I like. I'm curious about the barrel fit and currently available (or in the near future) aftermarket performance barrels, just to have an alternative if needed...

Nice looking setup Ruger617

Oh, sorry, and Merry Christmas everyone!

No, you are not. You have my vote. On a rimfire 18" is my absolute minimum. On centerfires, I prefer 22" or 24" (except for Mannlicher stocked rifles).

I had a gimme and want for the Ruger American Rimfire Model Number: 8348 Caliber: 22 LR , but really want at least a 20" and preferably a 22" or 24" gets more points. Once I look at this new rifle in person, I "may" get interested, if the accuracy reports of the stock factory rifle are decent.

I think the RPR is a better deal, if you don't mind the Star Wars looking stock.
Barrel is 18" vs 22" which makes the RPR 1-1/4 lb lighter.

No online sellers have the 8378 in stock.

You are not alone.

Want this in a .22Mag, with regular looking stock. Bonus points for the white cap spacers.

Second pic is 100yd groups. I do like the rifle. Trigger is awful out of the box, cut the spring helped out alot. Ruger could do a better job inletting the stock. I gotta stock and 30 moa rail right the box ready to go. Meaning don't have to buy xtras. It's not a bad lil rifle, gonna shoot it some more, who knows it might just settle in better. The sk lr ammo seem more consistent at 100 yds. Gonna try few more types of ammo soon as I can, and well just shoot the crap out of it.
