Mountain Elk commemorative bought on GB couple weeks ago. Scoped with my Bausch&Lomb Bavar 8b vintage 2.5--8 classic. Have a RifleBasix trigger on order now.

Rocky Mountain Elk gun

I tucked the scope in nice and tight, looks like it was meant to be that way.

Very nice! Marlin did put some really nice walnut on it's rifles back in the day. I love the overall color and richness of that wood. That is one fine rig!

That is a dandy of a find. Nice score my friend.

Three weeks back I had the high bid on a DU , Ducks Unlimited, 81TL, simply gorgeous. I wasnt paying attention and a few minutes after close I got out bid by 5$.

You nailed it, Congrats.

Now all we need is some pix of the groups she shoots.

My experience is that these rifles often shoot very well. My Marlin bolt actions really like Eley.... Especially the spendy stuff.

my 88 awesome 881

I will shoot some groups and post the results as suggested. I have just changed the scope to CenterPoint 3-9x40 mil-dot A/O. And I have received the RifleBasix trigger I ordered. So when all that is sorted out I'll do some shooting. ps not telling more just now but I have my eye on something else irresistible.
