No category for "one of each?"

I guess you have to know what "favorite" means. It could mean:

1) the choice I have made most often: CZ
2) what I would purchase if I had no practical financial limits: Cooper
3) best out-of-the-box rifle in the safe: Anschutz
4) easiest to work on/most aftermarket parts: Ruger
5) most accurate (for me): CZ/Benchmark barrel
6) most versatile: Ruger
7) prettiest: take your pick

Interesting exercise. I guess my answer is CZ, but in ten years, I hope my answer is Cooper.

I chose Marlin. I own several rimfires including a nice CZ 452 but I like shooting offhand and a 39 with peep sights is a joy to shoot. Was shooting my friends 39A last weekend and was outshooting the CZ with iron sights. I own a Mountie and won an Internet mail-in offhand shooting contest with it even though I'm not that good a shot - the 39s are truly outstanding for offhand even though they're not known for great bench accuracy.

I have to say Marlin, the discontinued 39's. Followed by older Remingtons and Winchesters.

With 6 CZs, 5 S&Ws, 3 Rugers and 1 each Beretta, Chiappa and Walther, it looks like CZ by a muzzle.

Ruger because of what they have done for the industry/sport.

Kidd and Vudoo. Surprised to not see either mentioned more often in this thread.
