A quick check and I see Flangster has one but I wasn't aware of their existence until today when I saw this one in a LGS, $450 OTD, with it's 24 inch threaded barrel it should be quiet and with my suppressor it should be dang near "Hollywood Quiet". It's almost silly looking but the quirkiness of it has an appeal, 10 rounds of .22lr or 16 rounds of shorts. Some nice wood under the darn near opaque stain on the butt stock. Darn it all I don't need it but it just insisted I bring it home with me.

Not about to thread one of my three 39's, this thing could be fun in the Squirrel woods if you don't get hung up in brush.

I saw one of those when I picked up my long barrel Frontier. It looked interesting and if I had a suppressor one might have followed me home.

That stock is begging to be set free from the layer of mud they laid on it.

Gerald, I think you are absolutely going to love that rifle! Mine is, as you say, "Hollywood Quiet" in a cornfield when it wears a suppressor. Ironically, my club's range faces due south and the shelter over the benches has a baffle that hangs down from the top/front of the bench area to block the afternoon sun. This means that I hear more of a "pop" with a suppressor on than I do when I shoot under the open sky. But the rifle is fun as anything.

I have been setting up steel plates at 50 yards and having what my grandfather used to call, a "hoot and a holler."

I have shot mine off a rest, but the lever design really begs to be shot off-hand. I currently have it set up with a Williams/Lyman 17A peep sight combo and am just starting to play with a Lee Shaver set of sight inserts. If I could change anything on the rifle it would be smooth up the trigger a bit. But I want to shoot it for a while before trying anything.

Congratulations! Hope she shoots as good as she looks.

Sounds good Flangster, mine is about to wear a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x scope, an open set up like yours would likely be as good but my old eyes having me putting glass on most rifles. I appreciate how easy Henry has made removing the rear sight without marring the barrels finish, the sight and elevator and screw will go in a envelope marked with it's contents and stuck in the safe.

Past Henry's have been reasonably accurate so it should be Squirrel accurate to 50 or more yards, have you tried any CCI Quiets or Quiet Semi-auto's in yours? If it will handle them it would be nice.

I haven't tried anything but Automatch, CCi-SV, etc. I have some CCI "suppressor," which is a subsonic LRN, around here somewhere but haven't tried them yet.

Only one question.
Why didn’t the put a longer tube on that model?
Ok 2

Why remove the rear sight? My scoped Henrys need the scope up high enough to keep the hammer unobstructed so the bell is above the rear sight.

So you could reload without removing the suppressor. I had the same question at first, but the shorter tube functions well.

I heard they tried to get some CZ Ultra Lux 28.6" barrels for them but CZ was sold out....

Indeed, there is a method to their madness, all explained on their website.

Well she's looking like a good shooter with ammo she likes, so far CMP Eley bulk looks like a leading contender, as does PMC Moderator (wish I had more), CCI Quiet Semi-auto is spooky quiet but shoots 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards. Lever action is the slickest Henry I've had and I've had several, trigger is a draw back to even better shooting I'm thinking as its likely 5-6 pounds but it's clean.

Pretty sure that flyer is on me dealing with the trigger...

That's better...

Now that's what I'm talking about. And yes I hung the target upside down...lol.

All CMP Eley
