i thought it was cool when the guy from oregon? walked/waded into one of the hot spring and ended up cooking himself to death. Never did get his body either.

i wonder if the water tasted like chicken after that...

No but I think he put the old lady down.

This pretty much reinforces the old axiom - The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has limits.

I live nearby and have been watching this circus for years, I have never heard of them doing such . Why would they do that, it isn't the bison's fault the people are stupid.

Growing up on a farm I knew better than to go out in the pasture that dad keep the bull in - I can’t imagine that a bison has a better disposition than a Holstein.

I watched a guy try to put his cowboy hat on a black bear once so he could get a picture. As the cowboy reached out with his hat in hand the bear stopped eating his stolen goodies, looked up at the guy and growled. The guy turned white and started shaking real bad and backed away. The bear was content with returning to eating his goodies rather than the cowboy.

Local humor: bison are very even tempered, they’re just mad all the time.

Stay safe.

I can't believe they recommend staying 25 yards away from them. My "safe" distance would be at least 50 yards, and that is if I am no more than 20 feet from my car! I'm an old man and hobble, more than run these days.

I like the advice about staying 100 yards away from bears and wolves. Right. As long as I'm standing next to my car with the door ajar I'll agree.
