Hey buddy, how are you guys doing?
The worst thing with building centerfire rifle stocks, or anything besides the 10/22, is the templates. I have to have a set for every different inlet and to build a set of templates, I will need an original stock and action. Since I’m not that guy who spends hours and hours with a hammer and chisel.
My inletting usually takes me less than an hour, with my two routers, if everything works like it’s supposed to. That’s with my tested and tweaked set of templates.
Like your Anschutz. I couldn’t have done that without the original stock and action.
You guys have a good thanksgiving.
Our thanksgiving is going to be a little different this year. My better half is getting over the covid this week and she had her two shots, go figure. We’re gonna call a local restaurant and get a couple takeout turkey dinners.
Larry

We'll just have to let the buyer of said # 210 do the honors.

Don't fret my friend, 'tis the season to enjoy, not worry.

Happy Thanksgiving

Usually, shipping a stock in not a problem. When a guy ships a complete firearm to someone to be worked on and doesnít take the action out of the stock, thatís not good. My friend bought a nice used Anschutz target rifle off the internet. When it arrived, the stock was broke at the grip. It should have shipped in two pieces.

Thumbs up # 209, in the house!

Absolutely stunning. USPS did a fine job of transporting my stock. Nice box and packing on your part too, Larry!

Kidd barreled action fit in without doing any tweaking, albeit tight. But that's just fine with me. All in all, I could not ask for / want anything different.

Pics to follow soon, but not today. It's FREAK'N cold here!

Thanks again Larry, super nice stock you made for me. I'm pleased as punch.

Jim

PS - Man, that maple figuring! It REALLY shows off nice in natural light. I'll need to take lot's of pic for this one.
