I've formally been a CZ guy (still have a 452 Ultra Lux and a 453 Varmint. Picked up this Annie on auction.

She's been around the block and has a few love marks but nothing severe.

Barrel is spotless inside though.

I tossed a scope on quick and ran out to the 50 yard bench at our gun club.

Sighted it in and put some SK Match through it. The best groups I have ever shot and it was easily 20 mph winds blowing this eve.

5 shot group was 0.2 at 50 yds off a bag.

Trigger is glass rod crisp.

Barrel says Anschutz Model Match 54.

Stock is unique...

If you look closely at the stock, it has a thumb cutout for a left handed shooter with the cheek comb on the right side.

So a left handed stock on a right handed action...

What really matters. Yeah, looks ambidextrous.

Sorry fellas, definitely a left handed stock.

No cutout on the right side for the thumb. Left side is flat and right side has the cheek riser on it.

This was Anschutz's offering for left handers until 1980, when they started making LH actions too. I think only BSA, and possibly Unique, made a true LH target rifle at this point.

If you say so!....There is no more comfortable stock, and with your RH action it's the ultimate for a lefty on the bench...I think...Tom

To each his own, but personally I've never liked any of Anschutz's prone stocks. The cheekpiece is not well enough defined for my face; the broad curve gives no lateral location point for me.

Tim I meant casual American benchrest position, where we sometimes nap on the stock...Tom

Calm wind this evening. Went out again to see if this was a one off or repeatable. I will let the pics tell the tale...
