What are the options for fiber optic front sights ?

Found the Hiviz one and saw one on ruger shop that they have a set front and rear fibers but marked as mkii and mkii

What are the other options ? I can make due with some sight paint but would rather have the fibers

Just picked the gun up yesterday for 250$. Some blue has worn on the front trap and on some edges. Bore is clean and there’s no chamber damage. Only thing to fix is the firing pin stop, it’s sheared into two pieces so I’ll have to get a new pin. She’s a monster though dwarfs my Glock 17

These (linky thingy)?

I see no reason why these wouldn't work on a Mark I T678. Sometimes I get the idea that Ruger would rather you buy a Mark IV than support the many Mark Is still out there.

That's a nice front sight. Would be neat if it fit a kmk678. I have an old stainless one that is a favorite of mine. Last week had it out and was cycling PMC Moderators if I run it wet.

This was the one

But I just want the front sight , I think it’s a Williams. I emailed them about it to see if just the front was available no answer yet.

I might just mill and drill the old front sight be install a fiber rod. Doesn’t seem to hard, once I measure the front sight with calipers I’ll know if it’s possible

I for one, do not like the MK IV. I am not a fan of the hinge pin.

I installed the Williams front & rear on my mark ll 6-7/8" and the hiviz front on my 5 1/4". Ruined a roll pin on one and ordered two replacements. The one I wrecked was a solid pin and bent while re-installing. The replacements were actually roll pins and worked fine. Save your money and go with the hiviz. Just keep in mind that there is no hole in the base of the sight, so you need to drill that yourself. This one comes with interchangeable lite tubes.
