Mark I Target 1951 online find

Log in to see fewer ads
Hi there. I found a Mark I Target model online serial number dates to 1951, but must be late 51 as it has the black phoenix.

Looks to be in nice shape so I took a chance on it. I'm in Canada and paid $425 which is about $300 USD

I have 2 Mark IV's (Hunter and Tactical) and a Mark III Stainless target and have always wanted an early Mark I

It's in the mail to me but here are the ad pictures I bought it based off of:

Cheers

Wow. That's in awesome shape for a '51 vintage! Probably the lowest serial number I've seen a picture of too.

Congrats on a great find! I'm sure you will love this newest member to your collection.

Thanks when I first looked up the serial number I thought there was another 0 which would have made it a 64 and was happy with that and that there was no dash. Most of what I see come up for sale are from the 1970’s. Then I looked again and saw it was only 5 digits lol.

The OP's pistol barrel is 6 7/8th heavy taper? Correct?

That is a beautiful older Ruger! I'm betting it will have a great trigger pull also.

Nice find! I really like the look of the tapered barrel Rugers and I my MKI target has the best trigger among my Ruger 22's.
