I have a Boyds thumbhole at one inbound. I want to bed it. Possibly with pillars . Glass bedding for sure. It has the Jard aluminum trigger housing. Can someone post pix of the bedding of 597 stock that has been bedded? Any recommendations?

Dunno about your stock but there wasn't much meat to bed the sides of the receiver. I did the back n front of the receiver and 1.5" of the barrel or so many moons ago as it was my first and a bit fugly.

Hard to say as I did other mods at the same time. You can try some aluminum duct tape to bed as others have done to tighten things up etc. with no worries of locking the metal to the stock.

I bedded my 17HMR just around the bottom edge of action and a little up the back. I was afraid the action would be locked in place permanently do to the mold marks in the metal casting.
